Our Trust Pledge

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Music tools have a trust problem: subscriptions that fight you on the way out, credits that expire, exports that stop working the day you downgrade. We built StemShare's billing the way we'd want to be treated. These aren't aspirations — each pledge below describes how the product actually behaves today.

1. Cancel in two clicks — no email, no phone call, no retention maze

Your avatar → Billing → Cancel. That's it. Cancellation is self-serve from your billing settings and takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for — you keep full access until then, and you can un-cancel any time before it ends. Details in the refund & cancellation policy.

2. Nothing you made is ever clawed back

If your plan lapses, nothing is deleted. Every song you made stays playable and editable. Your files stay on your storage even if you're over the free allowance — you just can't add more until you free space or re-subscribe. Your collaborators keep access to the songs you share with them.

What a lapse actually changes: creating new songs, remixing, project import and lossless streaming are Creator features, and streaming falls back to high-quality MP3. Your existing work is yours, at every tier, forever.

3. Your music can always leave with you

Project export is never paywalled. On any tier — including free and lapsed accounts — you can export any song you can edit as a StemShare project bundle (.ssproj) or an open DAWproject file that opens in desktop DAWs like Bitwig and Studio One, audio included. No lock-in, no export tax, no "download credits."

Being precise about what is tiered: packaged stem downloads on the free plan are MP3 and capped at one per month; lossless WAV stem downloads and full-mix WAV bounces are Creator/Creator Pro features. The project-bundle exports above stay free regardless.

4. Loops you can actually use

Everything in the built-in loop library is cleared for use in your songs — including songs you publish and songs others remix — at no extra cost. No per-sound credits, no licenses that lapse with a subscription, no claw-back of sounds you already used.

5. Mastering you can hear the truth about

The Master Assistant shows exactly what it changed — measured and target loudness, drive, ceiling — and applies it to your chain, where every knob stays editable. Its A/B audition is loudness-matched: your mix is level-compensated before the comparison, so “mastered” has to win on sound, never on the oldest trick in audio — being louder.

6. No dark patterns in checkout

The price, the billing date and the trial end date are shown before you confirm. Trials don't charge until they end, and cancelling during a trial costs nothing. Renewal reminders live in your billing settings, where the renewal date and price are always visible. If a charge is ever wrong, write to us before your bank — we review billing mistakes case by case and err on the side of the customer.

7. The honest fine print

Account deletion (as opposed to cancellation) is immediate and permanent — it removes your songs and files, and we currently do not generate an automatic archive first. Export the songs you care about before deleting your account.

If we ever change any behavior this page describes, we'll update this page and its date at the same time. Catch us breaking a pledge? Tell us: support@sylvonyx.com.
